A Story

Once upon a time, I was watching the fleeting cityscape outside from a train window, suddenly out of nowhere start feeling extreme fear of spending rest of my life as monotonous. Feeling so scared I had to do something about my future. One late afternoon I had a long walk talking to myself along the way, I came up with a great idea by the time all the city lights started light up. My dream was to move to California.

I still remember saying to myself what have I done to myself with surge of overwhelming fear, but it was too late my Pan Am 747 was already up in the air.

It was around 7am, the golden rolling landscape of California below swept into my sleepy eyes glowing with warmth and comfort, it was something to remember to this day. As soon as I landed at San Francisco somehow I knew most likely I won't go back to Japan.

With my luck I could enrolled in an art school in Los Angeles, to tell you the truth as a child being an artist was the last thing I wished for. But then again I graduated the school, life is very strange to my surprise. Being an artist as you guested it wasn't easy but I am still very happily living in California. I always say, what's the after happy ending? Well I would say I AM still in happy ending.

At the very late in the game of being an artist but I made my leap of faith. I experienced some kind of Awakening some people may say, why now, it's almost like I was a skinny bear came out from a cave after long hibernation. Feeling I've been sling shot to the other side then all of a sudden I start having a clear vision, my work and living started shifting into hyperdrive.

Living as an ALMOST STARVING ARTIST is not scary like I was imagined when I was a kid. Focus is on do live as a dream artist then maybe if I am lucky enough I might end up with my dream paintings.

I was wondering what happens after Happily Ever After? Well, somebody told me Happily Ever After is the Beginning!

Every brush stroke has a purpose, every color an emotion, and every canvas a story waiting to be revealed. My greatest aspiration is to ignite a spark of joy in those who encounter my paintings.
